Blind dating wisdom quotes
1) “Real-life may not always be a symphony of buoyant instants or ecstatic exploits. Downbeat emotional externalities can emerge unpredictably throughout our life journey. If we wish to turn life into an undying dance prom, let’s keep one foot in reality for sure. ("Blind date")”
-Erik Pevernagie
In the past, people used to fear going out on blind dates, because it was believed to be for the ones who don't have dating experiences nor have the game to build a relationship with each other. Time has changed now and blind dating is very common to take place. It still is for people who don't have dating experience but also for the ones who wants to take it for surprise of meeting someone who they never met before nor expected. We will never know if we are interested in that person until we meet that person, but the intention of blind dating is the same for all. Dating and being interested in each other too quickly at a fast pace has its negative results. The interest dies out faster, because it speeds up the tangling situations to take place, and there aren't enough experience of relationship to back it up. In all relationships, it is about unifying then separating and then unifying even deeper. Without this, no intimate relationship can ever take place. Everybody expects a great time to come when going out on a blind date, but, the chances of someone unifying with us fall under the law of nature that if we like one another intimately at the beginning, the interest dies out quicker and it isn't easy to meet someone who we are attracted to us just because. Attraction isn't a choice, for, it just happens.
2) “By mistaking alluring shadows for reality and mixing up appearances that project idealized versions of ourselves or misleading images of others, we may be deceived by willful illusions instead of remaining grounded. ("Blind date")”
-Erik Pevernagie
Honestly expressing ourself is very difficult to do. We can be flooded with the confidence of being cocky, and seem great in all sorts of ways, but to honestly express oneself without lying to oneself is very hard to do. This is because the way how others see us to be isn't always guaranteed nor the same as what we expect it to be. We ought to be ourself in a relationship, but to be oneself, is to be one's best version of self. On a blind date, trying to know everything about someone in a short spam of time will only bring about confusion, especially when we are expressing ourself in the greatest ways, for, it takes time to get to know one another. If we act like someone that we aren't then we all know that others will smell it right away.
3) “While navigating our blind dates and relationships, let us not hesitate to apply critical (pointing out flaws or judging someone or something negatively) thinking and maintain an offset between idealism and realism. When we balance our aspirations with the constraints of reality, we can steer the unpredictability of life with insight and resilience. ("Blind Date")”
-Erik Pevernagie
They say that a marriage that a parent opposes of is a relationship that is led to come to failure and therefore we won't be happy on the long run. It is all about which scope we look at each other in while when we are blinded by lust or love we cannot be on the same page as our parents when it is a positive view on our part. If our parent opposes of it and we are seeing through the opposite scope of a conceptual way it may seem that we will be happy, but in reality, it doesn't work this way. If we obey our parents perspective, then we too can see that we are very happy in life after marriage. In blind dating especially, when we don't even know one another nor know who to expect to meet, we ought to be careful to point our life in the right direction.
4) “Blind dates can be a creative process showing life as a canvas upon which we paint our experiences, fraught with challenges and uncertainties. When we seek to shape our existence, we want to transform the mundane into an exclusive setting. ("Blind date")”
-Erik Pevernagie
We all have a fixed mindset of how we view people as a whole. The same goes for when going out on a blind date. We know of all the negativity of human kind and that darkness is always greater than the bright side, because we are all led to fail each other. However, to still go out on a blind date, especially when we don't even know one another nor even met before is to be a creative process showing life as a canvas. We all know how to protect ourselves when it comes to relationships, because it is all about becoming in harmony with one another with a positive view nor staying away from each other out of the notion of what we know of humanity. When we seek to shape our existence it is how we express ourself in the midst of any begotten situation. When the relationship is mundane we will try to make it interesting, because attraction isn't a choice, for, it just happens. We can do the same thing to every single person we meet, but sometimes the attraction sparks while other times it doesn't for reasons unknown. If we feel that there is no hope in it, we wouldn't even set foot in it. It is all about wanting to have that relationship with someone or not wanting it.
5) “There’s an undeniable thrill about meeting a stranger and spending a few hours together, indulging in each other’s lives. It’s that spurt of saying whatever you want and leaving it behind with someone who’ll never look at you and think of it again.”
-Danielle Esplin
We are all selfish even when it comes down to relationships whereas it is about building a relationship with each other for each other, but it is always centered on us, ourself. It is the undeniable thrill of meeting someone we never met before nor expected that drives the world of blind dating. We must say what we say in order to try to spark the attraction towards each other and if it is someone who we will never meet again we can walk away happily because we will never meet ever again while expecting it to work out with uncertainty will be the thrill of it. That is the spurt of saying whatever we want and leaving it behind with someone who'll never look at us and think of it again. That challenge of expecting good times to come is what will drive us to want to meet one another once again.
